My name is Sandra, a French yoga teacher whose journey has been deeply shaped and inspired by the profound philosophical and spiritual traditions of the East. From a young age, I felt a persistent calling toward these ancient wisdom paths, which remain the guiding thread of my practice and teaching. Drawn to Eastern thought—Buddhism, Zen, and Indian philosophy—since adolescence, I studied philosophy before immersing myself in foundational texts such as Patañjali’s Yoga Sutras, the principal Upanishads, Mircea Eliade’s works on yoga and shamanism, Carl Gustav Jung’s explorations of archetypes and the collective unconscious… These sources continually inspire my effort to bridge Eastern wisdom with Western psychological insights, fostering a holistic path to self-understanding.
For many years, I have maintained a dedicated postural yoga practice rooted in the traditional hatha lineage—one that profoundly transformed my life. Influenced by the precise alignment approach of B.K.S. Iyengar and the dynamic flow of Pattabhi Jois, this daily discipline has become an integral part of my being. As an eternal student, I continue to deepen it with humility.Trained and qualified to teach traditional hatha yoga, pranayama, and guided meditation, I emphasize technical precision: conscious alignments blending biomechanical and energetic principles; classical breath regulation (ujjayi, nadi shodhana, kumbhaka); and meditative practices.
The yin yoga session I will offer is particularly meaningful to me. Created by martial artist Paulie Zink and nourished by hatha yoga through extended posture holds, it deeply targets connective tissues, fascia, and energetic meridians from traditional Chinese medicine. This makes it an ideal complement for martial artists, promoting recovery, joint mobility, resilience, and a flexibility that reveals itself as true inner strength and adaptability.Like internal martial arts (taiji quan, aikido, certain kung-fu styles), yin yoga cultivates inner listening, structural stability, and harmonious energy flow (prana or qi), nurturing calm presence and quiet resilience in both stillness and movement. With humility and enthusiasm, I look forward to sharing this gentle yet profound practice in a spirit of mutual exchange and growth. Namaste.
